Effectively resolves complex procurement, purchasing and supply chain issues, both supplier related and in-company in agreed timeframes. An Interim Manager since 1996 with a record of success in gap and project management roles, I have completed assignments in aerospace, automotive, FMCG, engineering, manufacturing, construction, domestic appliances and capital equipment industries.
My roles included gap management with departments between 2 and 65 staff, business re-engineering, contract and project management, prototype development and establishing green field procurement & purchasing departments for companies without established processes and procedures.
Clients include SMEs, VC backed companies, and foreign owned subsidiaries of multi-nationals. Experience of high & low volume manufacturing, sourcing for prototypes, new product introduction (NPI), capital goods, services and contract management.
I have operated at every level with extensive, proven, hands-on experience preparing enquiries and tenders, supplier selection & sourcing, supplier management, contract management, supplier development and departmental management. I am a persuasive change agent for strategic procurement and have rolled out of global commodity programs and had international multi site responsibility. I have excellent IT and MS Office skills with exposure to Baan, LN, SAP (R3, R5 & ECC), MFGPro, Symix, 4th Shift, Proactis.
My experience has developed great flexibility and the ability to perform successfully within different company and national cultures, working in cross functional teams with matrix management as well as conventional hierarchical structures and effectively adapting negotiation styles to suit the environment presented.
